Whether you're drumming for fun, refining your skills, or preparing for grade exams, Phil offers tailored lessons to meet your goals.

 

He provides expert guidance and preparation for all exam pathways, syllabuses, and major UK exam boards:

​

Rockschool – A modern, performance-focused syllabus built around contemporary styles. Great for drummers who want practical tracks, real-world grooves, and stylistic versatility.

 

Trinity Guildhall – A respected, well-rounded syllabus balancing technical development with musicality. Strong emphasis on notation reading, stylistic awareness, and structured progression.

 

ABRSM Drum Kit – Ideal for students who want a solid foundation in reading, musicianship, and disciplined technique within the ABRSM framework.

Fees. 

  • 30 minutes - £20

  • 45 minutes - £30

  • 60 minutes - £35. 

 

I offer discounts on block bookings of 4 or more lessons. 

 

The most common duration is 60 minutes a week, but there is no obligation to how often, fortnightly, for example. 

 

Home visits are also available at the same rates, plus a £5 travel fee per 15 minutes of travel. 

Teaching experience. 

Phil's teaching career began at Birmingham Drum School, where he worked with hundreds of students of all ages and abilities over the years.
